"I Thought My Missing Teeth Reflected Poorly On Me So I Got Dental Implants."
I was really not happy with the way my teeth looked. And I had gone to the dentist and asked what they could do and they put a bead on there, which only accentuated it more. I was finding that whenever I was talking to people, generally, I would kind of like, cover my mouth so they couldn’t see it. And I just want to be done with that. I had upper partial and lower partial and just a few of my own teeth, but I wanted to look better.
I think the biggest change in my life is I'm not trying to hide anything.
Dr. Russel Hamarnah:
Thomas had many broken teeth, a lot of discolored gold fillings, his gums are bleeding every time he brushed his teeth. And he was wearing these upper and lower partials, and the partials were simply not working for him.
Thomas:
I was just always embarrassed. I thought it reflected poorly on me. So, I wanted to get it fixed so that I could smile and feel good about it.
Dr. Russel Hamarnah:
When Thomas was in the chair, I could tell he was very apprehensive and nervous. We put him at ease, we showed him some of our before and after pictures, took some intraoral photos, and pictures of his smile, and went through the Digital Smile Design Software where he will end up with the all-on-four treatment.
Thomas:
We sat down and talked about it. And he said, I think you’d be a perfect candidate to have implants. And so that’s what they did.
Dr. Russel Hamarnah:
Now that Thomas is done, one thing his partner told me that, he would not stop smiling at everyone. And most people thought he was just the guy that never smiled, turns out he’s a very happy guy. It’s just, he was embarrassed of his teeth.
Thomas:
I think the biggest change in my life is I’m not trying to hide anything. I feel like I can be myself, I can smile with a lot of confidence and, you know, people notice and frequently will say something, your teeth look really nice. You know, after having them look the other way for so long, that’s a nice thing.
Dr. Russel Hamarnah:
Doing a case like this, when I see the change, the treatments like this do to somebody, gives me happiness. This is truly life-changing.
Thomas:
